It all started at the heart of Indian design at National Institute of design, Ahmedabad. Three friends with the shared idea and a dream of an multidisciplinary studio built around our philosophies and new age of design.

People behind PEN DESIGN.
Every studio has a beginning and ours started with three friends.
We met through design, started making things together, and quickly realized we wanted a space to experiment, build, fail, figure things out and make things that excite us.
Different interests, different ways of thinking and a shared curiosity for making. Eventually, we realized there were plenty of ideas out there waiting to be made real.
So, we made PEN Design. A studio built around curiosity, experimentation and making.

In the beginning, there was matter. From the smallest particles, the universe began to take form.
PEN comes from Proton, Electron and Neutron, three fundamental parts that come together to form matter.
For us, design works in much the same way. Ideas, people, technology and imagination come together to create something that matters. This is the beginning of PEN Design, a studio built around curiosity, creativity and the joy of making.

Like matter, design is formed by small forces coming together. At PEN Design, we call them design particles. Move keeps ideas in motion through questions, testing, and refinement. Connect brings people, ideas, materials, technology, and context together. Transform turns loose thoughts into visible and useful outcomes. Radiate carries the effect of design beyond the thing itself, shaping how it is seen, felt, used, and remembered.
